Stocks to Watch: MariaDB, Five Point Holdings, Disney

Venture capital firm Runa Capital said Friday it had made an offer to acquire MariaDB for 56 cents a share in cash. The firm, which currently has a 7.8% stake in the company, said that the offer represents a premium of around 24% based on the Sept. 13 closing price. MariaDB shares jump 24%, to 53 cents, after-hours.

Five Point Holdings named Kim Tobler as chief financial officer. The owner and developer of planned communities said that Tobler has served as vice president for treasury and tax for Five Point since 2016. Shares rise 14%, to $3.53, after-hours.

Disney’s Chief Information Officer Diane Jurgens has left the company, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday. Jurgens’s departure marks the second C-level executive to leave in three months after Chief Financial Officer Christine McCarthy took medical leave in June.
