TRX Gold has appointed director and veteran banker Shubo Rakhit as chairman.
Rakhit succeeds James Sinclair, TRX’s founder who died earlier this month at the age of 82.
A member of the mining company’s board since 2021, Rakhit’s career has included senior positions at several global and Canadian investment banks and advisory firms including Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Bank of Nova Scotia, Bank of America Securities, KPMG Corporate Finance and Echelon Wealth Partners.
