Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Paris, the lost 0.01%, while the index fell 0.03%.

The best performers of the session on the were Hermes International SCA (EPA:), which rose 1.77% or 33.00 points to trade at 1,894.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Danone SA (EPA:) added 1.67% or 0.97 points to end at 58.91 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:) was up 1.58% or 3.50 points to 224.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Alstom SA (EPA:), which fell 5.53% or 1.39 points to trade at 23.74 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) declined 2.46% or 0.66 points to end at 26.14 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) was down 1.95% or 1.20 points to 60.32.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were SES Imagotag (EPA:) which rose 2.94% to 112.20, Inter Parfums Inc. (EPA:) which was up 2.74% to settle at 71.20 and Elior Group (EPA:) which gained 2.67% to close at 3.31.

The worst performers were Alstom SA (EPA:) which was down 5.53% to 23.74 in late trade, Metropole Television SA (EPA:) which lost 4.75% to settle at 14.43 and Ovh Groupe SAS (EPA:) which was down 4.43% to 11.21 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 316 to 233 and 91 ended unchanged.

Shares in Hermes International SCA (EPA:) rose to all time highs; rising 1.77% or 33.00 to 1,894.00. Shares in Danone SA (EPA:) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.67% or 0.97 to 58.91. Shares in Inter Parfums Inc. (EPA:) rose to all time highs; rising 2.74% or 1.90 to 71.20.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.93% or 38.55 to $2,038.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.35% or 0.28 to hit $80.14 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.67% or 0.57 to trade at $84.36 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.47% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.88.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 101.31.
