Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.56%, while the index climbed 0.94%, and the index climbed 0.79%.

The best performers of the session on the were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which rose 3.99% or 13.40 points to trade at 349.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:) added 3.35% or 0.75 points to end at 23.15 and Siemens AG Class N (ETR:) was up 2.80% or 4.58 points to 167.98 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:), which fell 1.29% or 0.62 points to trade at 47.62 at the close. Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) declined 0.56% or 0.64 points to end at 114.16 and Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:) was down 0.53% or 0.18 points to 34.00.

The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which rose 4.68% to 29.73, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was up 3.03% to settle at 14.63 and Kion Group AG (ETR:) which gained 2.96% to close at 38.95.

The worst performers were Vitesco Technologies Group AG (ETR:) which was down 2.56% to 87.40 in late trade, Siltronic AG (ETR:) which lost 1.81% to settle at 83.85 and Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 1.44% to 24.70 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were PNE Wind AG (ETR:) which rose 4.21% to 13.86, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was up 3.99% to settle at 349.30 and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which gained 3.46% to close at 27.50.

The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 6.03% to 32.89 in late trade, Siltronic AG (ETR:) which lost 1.81% to settle at 83.85 and Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 1.44% to 24.70 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 369 to 237 and 46 ended unchanged.

Shares in Siemens AG Class N (ETR:) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.80% or 4.58 to 167.98.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.84% to 12.77.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.89% or 18.15 to $2,058.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 2.00% or 1.46 to hit $74.28 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 2.03% or 1.58 to trade at $79.53 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.49% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 101.75.
