Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.73%, while the index added 0.47%, and the index added 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:), which rose 6.03% or 0.57 points to trade at 9.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:) added 3.43% or 0.86 points to end at 25.90 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) was up 3.25% or 8.90 points to 282.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which fell 1.87% or 4.70 points to trade at 246.70 at the close. E.ON SE (ETR:) declined 1.22% or 0.14 points to end at 11.31 and Zalando SE (ETR:) was down 1.17% or 0.25 points to 21.17.
The top performers on the MDAX were United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which rose 4.54% to 19.80, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which was up 4.05% to settle at 27.76 and Hella KGaA Hueck & Co (ETR:) which gained 4.04% to close at 77.30.
The worst performers were Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (ETR:) which was down 4.46% to 4.91 in late trade, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which lost 3.86% to settle at 81.26 and Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:) which was down 3.07% to 26.52 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which rose 4.54% to 19.80, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which was up 4.05% to settle at 27.76 and Bechtle AG (ETR:) which gained 3.87% to close at 44.77.
The worst performers were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 3.86% to 81.26 in late trade, Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.28% to settle at 28.05 and PNE Wind AG (ETR:) which was down 2.58% to 12.10 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 400 to 225 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) rose to all time highs; rising 3.25% or 8.90 to 282.50. Shares in Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; down 4.46% or 0.23 to 4.91.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.31% to 15.11.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.63% or 12.25 to $1,949.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.52% or 1.17 to hit $78.34 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.46% or 1.19 to trade at $82.62 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 105.51.
