Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the lost 0.34%, while the index gained 0.35%, and the index declined 0.47%.

The best performers of the session on the were Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which rose 5.41% or 5.84 points to trade at 113.78 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:) added 5.39% or 0.92 points to end at 17.90 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) was up 4.20% or 8.80 points to 218.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (ETR:), which fell 2.87% or 2.42 points to trade at 81.90 at the close. Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) declined 2.61% or 8.70 points to end at 325.10 and Brenntag AG (ETR:) was down 2.10% or 1.70 points to 79.42.

The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which rose 12.01% to 12.78, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was up 7.25% to settle at 22.85 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 5.88% to close at 9.50.

The worst performers were Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which was down 6.53% to 1.99 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which lost 4.59% to settle at 34.31 and Encavis AG (ETR:) which was down 3.92% to 12.75 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which rose 5.88% to 9.50, Atoss Software AG (ETR:) which was up 3.95% to settle at 237.00 and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which gained 3.93% to close at 20.88.

The worst performers were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 4.59% to 34.31 in late trade, Kontron AG (ETR:) which lost 4.52% to settle at 21.56 and ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was down 2.03% to 6.36 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 343 to 295 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Atoss Software AG (ETR:) rose to all time highs; up 3.95% or 9.00 to 237.00.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.06% to 13.28.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.22% or 4.35 to $2,026.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $74.76 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.22% or 0.18 to trade at $79.88 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.50% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 103.57.
